World Vision magazine captured its fourth First Place award in five years, and Instigate and Cadet Quest each won their second award.
Six publications captured a First Place award for the first time: Kids Answers, SAconnects, The Baptist Paper, Plugged In, Rapt Interviews, and Religion Unplugged
All First Place winners will receive an engraved crystal award.
Each category was judged by two judges with the judges’ scores averaged to determine placement.
The Best in Class contest is conducted each summer with print entries based on circulation rather than the categories used for the Awards of Excellence. Entries were split with a balanced number of entries into nine circulation ranges, plus additional categories based on format: newspapers and websites (which required a digital membership to enter). Each category was judged by two judges with the judges’ scores averaged to determine placement.
